Yatinath Avatar:
‘Yati’ means a sannyasi (ascetic) and ‘Nath’ means master. So this form of Shiva could largely relate to the master of ascetics. Once there was a man from the tribe named Aahuk. He and his wife were passionate devotees of Lord Shiva. One day Lord Shiva visited them in the form of Yatinath. Since they lived in a small hut that accommodates only two people. Aahuk’s small hut couldn’t accommodate Lord Shiva disguised as a guest, so Aahuk and his wife decided to sleep outside and let the guest sleep inside. Unfortunately, Aahuk was killed by a wild animal at night. In the morning, finding Aahuk dead, his wife decided to kill herself. Then Lord Shiva appeared in his real avatar and blessed her with a boon that they would be born like Nala and Damyanti in the next life and Shiva would unite them.

Once there was a tribal man called Aahuk. He, along with his wife, was ardent devotees of Lord Shiva. Once it so happened that Lord Shiva visited them in the form of Yatinath.
They had a small hut which cannot accommodate Lord Shiva as a guest. So, Aahuk had to go to sleep outside.
However, unfortunately, Aahuk was killed by a wild animal. His wife decided to end her own life. However, Lord Shiva blessed them that they would take birth in the form of Nala and Damyanti in their next life & Lord Shiva would unite them.

There used to live a bheel named Aahuk on the Arbudachal mountain. His wife was Aahuka and both of them were supreme devotee of lord Shiva. Once, lord Shiva wanting to test their devotion, appeared before them disguised a hermit Yatinath. Aahuk honoured his guest and treated him very well. Lord Shiva then requested him to give shelter for the whole night. Aahuk expressed his inability as he had a very small hut, in which only two people could be accommodate at a time.

Shiva took on the form of Yatinath and incarnated to assess the devotion of tribal Ahuk and his wife. Assuming the role of a guest, Shiva visited their home. Tragically, Ahuk lost his life while trying to protect Shiva. His wife, however, displayed immense pride in her husband’s sacrifice. Touched by her attitude, Shiva granted them the blessing of being reborn as Nala and Damayanti in their forthcoming life.

The Lord Shiva Avatar, Yatinath visited a tribal man, Aahuk, and his significant other who were vigorous aficionados of Lord Shiva. Their humble home couldn’t oblige the Avatar of Lord Shiva disguised as a visitor, so Aahuk chose to rest outside. Sadly, he was killed by a wild creature in his sleep. His wife chose to end her own life but she was honored by the Lord Shiva Avatar, Yatinath, that they would be brought into the world as Nala and Damyanti in the following life.

Yatinath is another incarnation of Lord Shiva in which he visited a tribal couple Aahuk and Aahuka. During his visit to the couple, Aahuk got killed by a wild animal. Finding her husband dead, Aahuka decided to kill herself. Then Lord Shiva appeared in his real form and blessed her with a boon, which says that she and her husband will reborn as Nala and Damayanti, and Lord Shiva will unite them.

Disguised as a poor man with no shelter, the Yatinath avatar of Lord Shiva tested the hospitality of a tribal couple. Aahuk, the tribal man, lost his life by providing shelter to the avatar and his wife was proud of his husband for his sacrifice. Pleased, Lord Shiva granted them the boon of being reincarnated as Nala and Damayanti in their next birth. He himself would then reunite the couple.
