After some thought, the woman agreed to this bound by her Dharma and called her son. The disguised Brahmin lit the furnace on his back and cooked his food. After cooking, the Brahmin asked the woman to call her son so that he could take the auspicious food. The woman, in grief, told him to not make such cruel jokes and since after cooking on his back, he would not have survived. The Brahmin explained and insisted that she call the son. When the woman called, the son came running. The Brahmin said, “Old woman, your fast is successful. With kindness, your mind is also full of devotion and faith. The story behind Mangalvar vrat

used to pray to Lord Hanuman to seek his blessings for a healthy child. Once, Nanda went to the dense jungle to pray to Hanuman ji to bless him with a child; on the other side, his wife used to pray to hanuman ji daily. She used to keep fast on Tuesdays and offer food to Lord Hanuman before having any.

One fine Tuesday, she could not prepare food and feed Lord Hanuman due to another fast. She became sorrowful, slept on an empty stomach, and decided not to eat before offering food to Lord Hanuman until the following Tuesday. She went on fasting for the next six days without water and food.

She fainted early the next Tuesday due to hunger and starvation. Hanuman ji was impressed with her faith and belief and appeared before her. He blessed her with a little boy, Sunanda, named ‘Mangal.’ When her husband returned from the forest, he questioned her about the child, to which she replied with her side of the story.

The Brahim considering it hard to believe, was suspicious and refused to believe the same. One day, when Nanda was leaving for a bath, his wife asked him to take Mangal along, he agreed, but seeking a chance, he pushed the little child to a well

When Sunanda asked him about the child on his return, Mangal returned even before Nanda could respond. While Nanda couldn’t understand what had happened, he slept. Hanuman ji appeared in his dreams and clarified that his wife was right, and he blessed them with a little version of Lord Hanuman and how doubting his wife is a wrongful act of Nanda. After this, the Brahmin got happy, accepted his wife and their son, and the family lived happily. Sunanda continued her Tuesday fasts, and Hanuman ji continued his blessings on them.

The things started to change at the daughter in law home. There were illnesses, mischances and different adversities at her home and they got to be to a great degree poor that they couldn’t manage the cost of even a solitary supper.

The daughter in law soon understood that this was because of her denying sustenance to the old woman. She then chose to bring back the old woman. She went to the young person’s home and asked the old woman to excuse her for her errors.

The old woman absolved her and told the young person that the time it now, time for her to clear out. She needed the young person to accompany her. The young person said that at whatever point she needs to see him she can go to the Hanuman Temple.

That night the old woman had a fantasy in which she saw that the young person was as a general rule Lord Hanuman. Tears trickled from the old woman’s eyes. She couldn’t request more ? It was Hanuman that was securing her and sustaining her.

Mangalvar Vrat Katha

Once upon a time, a Brahmin couple lived in a small village. The couple was having a hard time in terms of having children, so the wife started observing the Mangalvar Vrat (Tuesday Fast) to please the Sankatmochan, Lord Hanuman. One fine day, the husband had to go to a nearby city for a few months for some work. The wife stayed at home and worshipped Lord Hanuman with utmost dedication and devotion. Finally, moved by her devotion, Lord Hanuman blessed the lady with a little boy after she fasted for 21 Tuesdays. The husband returned home after a few months and was shocked to see the little child playing in his wife’s lap.

He started questioning his wife’s fidelity. He suspected his wife of adultery and tried to kill the child too. The lady tried to convince him that it was their son who had come into life as a blessing of Lord Hanuman but all in vain. Therefore, Lord Hanuman himself decided to help the worried wife. So, he came into the dreams of the husband and told him the entire story. The Brahmin realized his mistake, felt guilty about it and apologized to his wife the next morning for his insensitive behaviour. He accepted both his wife and son with full love and respect. Since then, Hindus have a belief that observing the Mangalvar Vrat helps the devotees to receive their desired blessings from Lord Hanuman.
